2020 Golf Croquet World Team Championship Tiers 2 and 3

2020 Golf Croquet World Team Championship

Tier 1

Tier 1 of the Golf Croquet World Team Championship was held in January 2020 at the Nelson-Hinemoa Croquet Club in Nelson, South Island, New Zealand.  Eight teams representing Australia, Egypt, England, Ireland, New Zealand (defending champion), South Africa, Sweden and the United States, took part and New Zealand defeated Egypt in the final to retain the Openshaw Shield.

Tier 2

Tier 2 of the Golf Croquet World Team Championship was planned to be held from Monday 11 to Saturday 16 May 2020 in Spain at the Real Club de Golf Vista Hermosa in Puerto Santa Maria, the Sherry Golf Jerez and at the Real Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri. 

The event has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.  It is intended to publish new dates in Q4 2020 after consultation with the Event Host and the competing Members.

Eight teams will compete for the World Croquet Federation Salver, representing:

Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland and Wales.

Tier 3

Tier 3 of the Golf Croquet World Team Championship was planned to be held from Tuesday 14 to Saturday 18 July 2020 in England at the Guildford & Godalming Croquet Club.

The event has been postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.  It is intended to publish new dates in Q4 2020 after consultation with the Event Host and the competing Members.

Teams representing Iran, Mexico and Portugal are expected to compete.
